Sheltered in His Presence

In the chaos and turmoil of life, our reading today offers a comforting promise of divine refuge. Imagine yourself in the middle of a storm, with winds howling around you, rain pounding on your head, lightning flashing in the sky, and thunder roaring in your ears. In such a situation, the most natural instinct is to seek shelter, a safe haven where the storm cannot reach us.

Our lives can sometimes mirror this storm, filled with difficulties and challenges that leave us feeling exhausted and afraid. There are times when we feel like we’re being hit from all directions. Yet, the scripture reading assures us we have a refuge, a sanctuary where we can retreat to for comfort and protection. This assurance does not mean we will be exempt from storms or trials in life. Today, take solace in the fact that you are not alone in your battles. You have a steadfast shelter in the Most High who encompasses you with His love and protection.
