Embedded Love of Christ

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

In our reading today, we are reminded of the profound love of Christ that dwells in the hearts of believers. This love is not temporary or fleeting but rather a permanent resident, firm and unmovable, within us. It binds us to Him, shaping our perspectives and grounding our actions.
This love has dimensions - it is wide, long, high, and deep. It's so vast that it's beyond human understanding. But isn't that a beautiful mystery? The limitless extent of God’s love for us stretches from eternity past to eternity future. It covers every aspect of our existence, meeting us wherever we are, in whatever state we find ourselves.
To fully grasp this love, we need to continually grow in our knowledge of God, remain in His word, and build personal experiences with Him through prayer. Only by consistently leaning into Christ can we begin to comprehend the length, breadth, height, and depth of His immense love for us. This is not simply knowledge for the mind; it's nourishment for the soul, an invitation to become more like Christ day by day.
Today's Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I am amazed at the incredible dimensions of Your love. Help me to understand this love more each day, and guide me to be a reflection of Your love to others. Grant me the grace to stay rooted in Your Word and draw closer to You in prayer. May my heart be a suitable dwelling place for Your love, O Lord. I pray all these in the name of Jesus, Amen.
