Today's scripture impresses upon us the beautiful truth that our lives are neither random nor incidental. The Lord Himself has saved us, chosen us, and given our lives a holy purpose. From before the foundation of the world was laid, His radiant plans were set in motion, with each of us playing our individual roles in His glorious drama of redemption.

It can be easy to lose sight of this divine vision when we become ensnared in the mundane worries and troubles of daily life. Yet, remember, none of these momentary struggles can diminish the heavenly calling placed upon your life. Even in the midst of hardship and heartache, we are still the chosen instruments of God, purposed to shine His light into the world.

Live intentionally bearing this holy calling in mind. Do not be swayed by worldly troubles or hardships, but instead, focus on the mission assigned to you by the One who saved you and called you to a holy life.
