The Courage Within
Mar 4, 2025
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
In today's verse, we encounter a powerful reminder from the Lord. "Be strong and courageous." Such a bold statement not only demands our action but also infuses us with divine strength.
This command isn't just about physical strength; it is far deeper and spiritual. It's about inner fortitude, spiritual resilience, and steadfast faith. It challenges us to stand firm in the face of trials and tribulations, light against darkness, hope against despair.
Life can often be tumultuous, full of unexpected challenges and tests. Yet, our reading today confirms that we need not fear these. Why? Because God is with us wherever we go! The creator of heaven and earth is by our side, ever-present, reliable, and steadfast.
This divine assurance should instill in us unshakeable confidence and boundless bravery. It means walking hand in hand with God, trusting His guidance, and embodying His strength. This Christian journey thus becomes not one of fear but of courage, not of doubt but of faith.
