For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

Today's reading invigorates our hearts with the compelling power of Christ's love. It reminds us that His sacrifice on the cross was not a passive act, but an active demonstration of love that reshapes our existence and gives us purpose.
Jesus' death on the cross was not merely for Him to pay our sin debt, but to release us from living life centered primarily around ourselves. When we fully grasp the depth of Christ's love, it propels us out of self-absorption into lives dedicated to His cause.
This verse tells us that those who have been touched by Christ’s love will find that their lives are now defined by this very love. They no longer live for themselves but for Him who loved them and gave Himself for them. Essentially, our lives are not our own; they are meant to reflect God's glory to a watching world.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for showing us the greatest love through Jesus' sacrifice. May this remarkable love guide our thoughts and actions every day. Help us to remember that we do not live for ourselves but for Jesus, who died and was raised again for us.
