God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV)

In today's verse, we are reminded of the gift of righteousness we have received through Christ. He who knew no sin became sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. What a sacred and powerful exchange this is!

We stand before God, not in our own merit, but clothed in the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ. If we truly grasp the depth of this truth, it changes everything. Our shame, guilt, and fear have no place here. The past can no longer hold us captive, for we've been set free and declared innocent in the sight of God.

Christ took upon Himself what we deserved - our sins, failures, and mistakes - to grant us what we could never earn - His righteousness. We are free from judgment and can stand complete in the presence of our Heavenly Father because of this divine gift. The grace of God erases our sins and the righteousness of God routs any inadequacy we feel.

Today's Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I am overwhelmed by this amazing exchange. Thank you for placing my sins on Christ, and in return, giving me His righteousness. Help me to live fully in the freedom of Your grace and to walk confidently in this righteousness You've granted me. Show me how to reflect this grace to others as I navigate through life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
