In today's verse, we're reminded of the importance of living out our faith actively and practically. Many times we may find it easier to say we love others than to show it. But our faith calls us to more. It calls us to love not just in words, but also through our actions.

In our day to day life, this could mean helping our neighbor, forgiving someone who has perhaps wronged us, or caring for those who are less fortunate. It's about showing kindness and mercy towards everyone. This kind of love is active, genuine and visible.

Just as Christ demonstrated His love for us through action—by giving His life—, we too are called to manifest our love through deeds. Let us then strive each day to make our love real, not just in what we say, but more importantly, in what we do.
