Unfailing Love in Action
Feb 12, 2026
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13: 6-7 (NIV)
Today's verse takes us to the heart of God’s love - a love that rejoices with the truth and does not delight in evil. It's a reminder that our attitudes and actions should mirror this divine love. We live in a world where falsehood often seems to triumph over truth, where injustice seems more prevalent than justice. But as believers, we are called to rejoice when truth wins over lies, when justice conquers injustice.
Our reading today also speaks on the sturdiness of love – that it always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. This is how God loves us, and it is how we are to love others. Love is not merely an emotion; it is action. When we truly love others, we protect them, trust in them, hope for them, and stand by them in difficult times.
Sometimes it can feel challenging to display this kind of love, especially when we have been hurt or betrayed. But let's remember that God's love is our model, and we are to reflect His love to the world. We are given the grace and strength to love as He loves.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for your unfailing love that rejoices in truth, always protects, trusts, hopes, and endures. Help us to embody this love in our relationships, displaying patience and kindness in all circumstances. Give us the courage to rejoice in truth and to stand firm against evil. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
