You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.

Psalm 86:5 (NIV)

In the complexity of life, we often find ourselves seeking mercy, whether it is from our own shortcomings, from others, or from circumstances beyond our control. Today's verse presents a comforting reminder that we have an infinite source of mercy in our Heavenly Father.

God's mercy is unlike any human mercy. His is not based on deserving or earning but on His unfailing love and faithfulness. Our reading today assures us that God is good and forgiving, full of unconditional love for all who call out to Him.

Yet, in our struggles and anxieties, we sometimes forget to reach out and ask for this mercy. We attempt to navigate hardships on our own, forgetting the infinite well of grace and compassion that is just a prayer away. Remember, mercy is not something we receive once, but it's a divine gift, always available to us, ceaseless and unchanging.

Today’s Prayer:

Dear Lord, We are grateful to know You as a loving and merciful Father. Help us remember to seek Your mercy when we are faced with difficulties. Fill our hearts with the comfort of Your presence and remind us always of your infinite love and forgiveness. We trust in You and submit our lives into Your caring hands. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
