Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;
John 11:25 (NIV)
There is a depth of love, so vivid and potent, found in our reading today. The resurrection and life are not distant concepts or future promises, but a present reality known through our belief in Christ. His words echo throughout the ages, offering reassurance to all those who navigate the rocky path of life's trials and uncertainties.
Our Heavenly Father sent His son to conquer death, providing us the assurance that mortality is not the final stop but rather a transitional phase towards immortality. It's a promise that no matter what happens here and now, there's an unending life awaiting us in God's kingdom.
This assurance should fill us with unwavering hope and invincible faith. Just as the dawning sun promises a new day, so does Jesus promise us eternal life. Life's hardships and sorrows may attempt to dim this promise, but can never extinguish it.
Let this knowledge instill courage in our hearts, knowing that we do not walk alone. God is with us, loving us, guiding us, and promising us a life beyond our earthly existence.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son, whose resurrection is our beacon of hope and promise of eternal life. Grant us the strength and wisdom to hold onto this promise, especially during life's darkest hours. As we navigate the journey of faith, may we draw comfort from the assurance of Your unending love and the eternity promised by Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
