[God’s Final Word: His Son] In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

In today's scripture reading we discover the profound reality that God has always been communicating with us. The extraordinary part is that He has chosen various methods to reach out over the ages, testament to His relentless pursuit of a relationship with us.
While prophets were His spokespeople in the past, He chose to speak through His Son Jesus Christ in the fullness of time. Jesus is not simply another prophet, but He is the exact representation of God Himself. He is the ultimate message, embodying the divine wisdom, love, mercy, and salvation.
Understanding this should leave us in awe of how personal God's communication is. It's not merely laws and guidelines, but an invitation into a loving relationship through His Son. Today's verse emphasizes the paramount importance of Jesus in God's communication with humanity and His central role in our understanding of God.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for revealing yourself to us through your Son Jesus Christ. Help us to understand your words, appreciate your love, and respond to your calling every day. Strengthen our faith and draw us closer to You. In the wonderful name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
