[The Word Became Flesh] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.

John 1:1-2, 14 (NIV)

Today's scripture reading provides a profound insight into the nature of our Lord Jesus Christ. We learn that He was there from the beginning. Not only was He present at the creation of the world, but He also existed before time, Himself being co-eternal with God.

The verses also reveal an astonishing truth - this eternal Word, who is God Himself, took on human flesh and lived among us. He bridged the divine and the human, making the invisible God visible to us. It is indeed overwhelming to think about such love! This eternal Word, choosing to become one of us so that we might know Him intimately.

Let’s reflect on this amazing grace today. Let's remember that the same Word that became flesh in Jesus is alive today within us as believers. He continues to dwell among us, guiding us, comforting us, and revealing more and more of His glory to us daily.

Today’s Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we are in awe of Your love, shown so powerfully through Jesus, the eternal Word made flesh. Help us to daily comprehend the depth of this love that chose to live among us. As we go on our life's journey, may we be ever aware of Your dwelling presence within us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
