Living In Grace
Nov 14, 2025
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
1 Peter 3:18 (NIV)
Our reading today brings to light an amazing truth. Christ, the righteous one, suffered for us as sinners, providing a path of salvation through His great sacrifice. Our spiritual journey, therefore, is not just one of belief, but also of emulation, a constant striving to bear our own cross daily just as Jesus did.
In today's world, it's easy to lose sight of this calling - to prioritize comfort over character, convenience over compassion, and self-interest over service. Yet, in doing so, we fall short of the covenant sealed by Christ's sacrifice. Instead, we should aspire to enkindle that same selfless, sacrificial love in our hearts, using it as our compass in decision-making and our guide amid trials.
This scripture reminds us of our unique role as God’s children to reflect His love in our lives. Just as Christ’s resurrection brought hope to a world shadowed by sin, so too can our actions bring light to those around us when we model His love, forgiveness, and grace.
Today’s Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to truly comprehend the depth of Your love for us, demonstrated through Your son, Jesus’ sacrifice. Grant us the courage to emulate Him daily, making sacrifices for others as He did for us. Let our lives serve as a testament to Your enduring grace and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
