The Secret of the Lord

The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.
Psalm 25:14-15 (NIV)
The deep, intimate relationship between God and His people is wonderfully portrayed in today's verse. As believers, we are given a precious promise that the secrets of God are with those who fear Him. This fear is not one of pure terror or dread, no. It is a reverential awe, a holy respect, a committed trust, and an overwhelming acknowledgment of God's majesty and sovereignty.
When we walk with the Lord and fix our eyes on Him, we will not be easily distracted by the temptations and traps of this world. Just as a child trusts and clings to a loving father, we can depend on God with childlike faith. We are assured that He will guide us, guard us, and keep our feet from being ensnared.
The secret of the Lord invites us into a relationship that offers divine guidance, protection, and wisdom. It brings us closer to His heart, enabling us to discern His voice amongst the noise of life. Let us, therefore, strive to dwell in His presence daily, seeking His guidance and fearing Him alone.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, we are grateful for the promise and privilege of knowing Your secrets, your divine wisdom and guidance. Help us to fear You in reverence and trust. May we always fix our eyes on You, unswayed by varying winds of life. Keep our feet away from any snare and help us to walk the path of righteousness. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
