Open Groups in Uplift are designed for organizations like churches to create spaces where people can connect, share, and pray together. Unlike personal groups, Open Groups are visible to others, making it easy to find and join them—just like joining a community in real life.

To join an Open Group, start by going to the Groups page—the second icon from the left at the bottom of the app. Tap the plus sign (+) next to the Open Groups title. If you already have a join code, tap Join Open Group and enter the code. The group will now appear on your Groups page, ready for you to participate in prayer requests.

If you don’t have a join code, tap Search Open Group. You can browse the list or search by organization name. When you find the group you’d like to join, tap it, then press the Join button. You’re in! From there, you can see requests, offer prayers, and become an active part of the group’s spiritual community.
