How to Answer a Prayer in Uplift
Nov 3, 2025
Answering a prayer in the Uplift app is one of the most powerful ways you can encourage others and build faith within our community. Too often, we hear prayer requests but never find out what happened. This can leave intercessors wondering, hoping, and sometimes even discouraged. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
When you post a prayer in Uplift, you also have the opportunity to close the loop by marking it as answered. This simple act of follow-through can spark faith and gratitude in those who have prayed for you. Here’s how to do it:
Go to the prayer request you posted. Tap on the three-dot icon at the top right of the prayer card or navigate to the prayer details page. There, you’ll find the option to “Answer Prayer.”
When you select this, you’ll have the chance to share some final thoughts—what happened, how God responded, and any gratitude you want to express to those who stood with you in prayer. While it’s not required to enter any text, we strongly encourage it. Updates let people know their prayers made a difference, and they strengthen the shared experience of God’s faithfulness.
Once you submit your final thoughts, the prayer card will update visually to show that the prayer has been answered. It’s a meaningful signal to others that God is at work and that prayer truly matters.
So don’t let answered prayers go unspoken. Share them. Celebrate them. Let others see the goodness of God through your story.
