In Uplift, we offer several ways to stay connected to prayer activity, and one of the most meaningful is the ability to follow individual prayer posts. This feature helps you keep track of the prayers that speak to your heart—and the people behind them.

When you follow a prayer, you’ll receive notifications whenever someone comments on it or when it’s marked as answered. This lets you walk alongside others in a deeper way, staying in tune with their journey and continuing to pray as things develop.

To follow a prayer, simply look for the star icon—this is the Favorite icon. You’ll find it on the prayer card or on the prayer’s detail page. Tap the star and it will change color to show that you’re now following the prayer.

You can view all the prayers you follow by going to your Profile page—just tap the first icon from the right in the app’s bottom navigation bar. Then tap the Favorites menu item. This opens a dedicated feed showing only the prayers you’ve chosen to follow.

If at any time you want to stop following a prayer, just tap the blue star icon again. After confirming, you’ll no longer receive updates on that prayer.

Following a prayer isn’t just helpful for you—it’s also encouraging for the person who posted it. When you favorite a prayer, the favorite count increases by one, showing the poster that someone is walking with them in prayer. That visible support can be incredibly powerful, especially for someone going through a difficult time.

So the next time a prayer speaks to you—don’t scroll past. Tap the star and become part of that person’s story. Every favorite, every comment, every prayer… they all add up to a community that lifts each other higher.
