Dear Lord,
Sometimes I forget what a gift Your Word is. I open it out of habit or duty, but today I want to approach it with joy and expectancy. Let Your truth light up my heart. Help me find delight in the stories, the wisdom, and the promises written for me. Refresh my spirit through Your voice in Scripture. When I feel dry, speak life. When I feel distracted, refocus my attention. I want to hunger for Your Word more than anything else. Thank You for giving me access to Your heart through every page. Shape me, change me, and draw me closer to You through Your living Word.
