Encouraging Group Participation
Dec 16, 2025
Group prayer thrives when everyone feels welcome to join. As a leader, it’s your role to create that space. Start by setting the tone. Let people know there’s no pressure to pray aloud, but that all voices are welcome. Use simple prompts to guide participation. For example, “Let’s each thank God for one thing” or “Pray one sentence for someone in need.” Affirm those who do share and allow space for silence. The goal isn’t volume — it’s connection. The more people feel safe, the more they’ll engage. And when hearts unite in prayer, even quietly, the atmosphere changes.
