In our reading today, we are reminded of the indispensable value of wisdom. We learn that we must seek the ability to number our days right, for it is in doing so that we attain a heart of wisdom. This isn't about marking off dates on a calendar or counting every second we live, but rather focusing on how we spend our time.

Our days can be filled with many things; busy schedules, work deadlines, family commitments, and social engagements. It's easy to allow our days to turn into cycles of routine activities without pausing to reflect on the significance and purpose of our existence.

Today's verse calls us to develop an eternal perspective, focusing not just on the temporal, but on that which has everlasting value. A heart of wisdom understands that every day is a gift from God, a chance to grow more in love with Him and to make a positive impact in the world. By centering our lives on God, we gain wisdom in how we use our time – to love, serve, and honor Him.
