One of the greatest assurances Scripture gives is this: God hears us. Over and over again, we read phrases like “The Lord listened,” “God heard their cry,” and “He inclined His ear.” Even when we whisper or sit in silent desperation, our prayers rise before Him.

But what about when we don’t feel heard? In those moments, our trust must rise above our feelings. 1 John 5:14 says, “If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” Hearing doesn’t always mean immediate action, but it always means divine attention.

This assurance is critical for anyone walking through difficulty. For individuals, it brings comfort. For ministry leaders, it provides truth to anchor others in seasons of doubt. Prayer reminds us we are never ignored by heaven—even when answers are delayed.

God is not passive. He is attentive. And every word, every sigh, and every tear finds its way to His heart.
