[Faith in Action] Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

We encounter our world primarily through sight; yet, today's verse reminds us that our journey with God calls for a different kind of vision. It requires us to see and believe in what we cannot physically behold. This is the essence of faith - a fervent assurance in our hearts about things unseen.

Many have lived examples of this profound truth—Abraham believed he would father a nation although he was childless for decades, Moses led a flock through the wilderness trusting in a promised land he couldn't see, and countless others placed their faith in the invisible workings of God. These testimonies affirm that the foundation of our relationship with the Divine is faith.

Faith does not deny the realities of our current circumstances, rather it looks beyond them to realize God’s promise of a future brimming with hope. It trusts in God's goodness during trials and believes in His victorious power even in the face of defeat. It is a confident expectation of what God has promised.
