Unashamed of the Gospel
Jul 17, 2025
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Romans 1:16 (NIV)
In today's verse, Paul elegantly encapsulates the very core of Christian faith. He was unapologetic and explicitly clear about his faith, encouraging believers to share the same audacity in their faith. The Gospel does not call for us to shrink back, hide, or be timid. Rather, it calls for a bold proclamation that takes courage from the power and love of God.
The gospel offers salvation to everyone who believes, with no exceptions. It embodies God's righteousness, rooted in faith alone. This message should ignite within us a sense of pride and joy. Aware of its power, we should feel compelled to share this good news, soldiering on, despite the challenges and the fear of rejection. Like Paul, our conviction should drive us to be unashamed of the gospel.
Let us remember that when we champion the gospel, we align ourselves with God’s grand purpose for humanity. This knowledge brings power, and with that power comes responsibility. We are called to live out and share the gospel with zeal and affection, unashamed.
