Exalted Above All

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11 (NIV)
Our reading today offers a beautiful reminder of Christ's supreme position in the universe. The Savior, who humbled himself unto death, has been exalted to the highest place, illustrating the heavenly principle of humility leading to glory. Yet, this is not about Christ's desire for power or status, but rather His eternal mission of love and redemption.
Jesus's elevation signifies more than just honor; it is a beckoning for all creation to bow and confess that He is Lord. This universal acknowledgement of His lordship displays the complete authority bestowed upon Him by the Father, extending beyond earthly realms to encompass every corner of the cosmos.
The idea of every knee bending and every tongue confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord reminds us of the unifying power of faith. In these times of division and misunderstanding, let's take comfort in knowing that ultimately, we'll unify in recognizing Christ’s lordship, setting aside our differences, and embracing peace and love.
