Renewal and Strength
Jun 23, 2025
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
Today's verse reminds us of our constant need for renewal. Like eagles, we too need moments of solitude to rest and regain our strength. It is through these moments that we can transform our weariness into strength, our doubts into faith, and our fears into courage.
Take a moment to reflect on the times you've felt exhausted, unsure, or afraid. Now, imagine God breathing new life into those areas of weariness. Our reading today paints this beautiful imagery of gaining renewed strength and soaring like eagles. This isn't about physical stamina but a spiritual strength that comes from waiting upon the Lord.
God's promise is not escape from struggle but empowerment within it. We are reminded that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will run and not grow weary, walk and not faint. The essence of waiting on God is not a passive resignation but a hopeful expectation that God will do what He has promised.
