Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 91:1 (NIV)

God offers a promise of protection and security to those who dwell in His secret place. This secret place isn't a physical location; it's anywhere we take a moment to connect with God, where we share our heart with Him and listen to His voice.

But what does it mean to "dwell" in God's presence? Is it something we do once a week at church, or is it a way of life? The original Hebrew word for "dwell" suggests a continuous action - not visiting occasionally, but living in a place permanently.

When we make that choice to live in constant communion with God, to immerse ourselves in His promises, we find true security. Not because circumstances always go our way, but because we are anchored in the One who is never changing. We are protected from the storms of life because we are sheltered by the Most High.
