Our reading today reminds us of our true home, not in this world, but with Christ in heaven. Indeed, as believers, our citizenship belongs to heaven. Earthly citizenship often comes with certain rights and privileges, but also obligations and burdens. But as heavenly citizens, our rights include freedom from sin and death, while our assignment is to love God and to love each other, living lives that reflect the goodness and grace of God.
