As we meditate on our reading today, we are invited to marvel at the grandeur and glory of our God. The verse prompts us to see that greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty belong to the Lord. Nothing in heaven or on earth can compare to His splendor. His throne is clothed in honor and authority, making Him worthy of our praise and devotion.

Our verse for today also gently reminds us of our rightful position in the presence of such magnificence. In comparison to the vast expanse of His domain, our lives may seem small and insignificant. However, we must remember that He has chosen us, mere mortals, to serve in His mighty kingdom.

Just as a coin has two sides, so does our understanding of God’s majesty. On one hand, we are astounded by His immeasurable greatness; on the other, we are humbled by the knowledge that such an extraordinary God loves and values each one of us individually.
