Sharing the Journey

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
Romans 12:15 (NIV)
In our reading today, we see the deep wisdom of shared experiences. When we connect with others during their highs and lows, we reflect the heart of our Creator, who rejoices and mourns with us. It is a call to live beyond ourselves, to enter, however briefly, into the emotions, joys, and struggles of others.
This is not about pretending to understand what another person is going through. Instead, it's an invitation to lend a listening ear, offer a word of encouragement, or sit in silent empathy. It's a loving reminder that no one should face life's peaks and valleys alone. Sharing these moments allows us to become vessels of God's love, letting His comfort flow through us to others.
We should strive towards this divine empathy. This level of compassion might feel intimidating, maybe even impossible. But remember, it is Christ who strengthens us. We can lean on Him when our own ability to empathise seems inadequate. Our weakness becomes an invitation for His strength to shine through us.
