The Mystery of Divine Work
May 15, 2025
As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
Ecclesiastes 11:5 (NIV)
In today's scripture, we are reminded of the profound mysteries of God's creation and workings. We observe the world around us, the wind blowing ceaselessly, the development of a child in the mother's womb, yet we do not fully grasp how these wonders come about. Just as it is with our understanding of God's work in our lives. His ways are often beyond our comprehension.
If we have faith and trust in our Sovereign God, we need not always understand. It can be challenging, especially when we face trials or events that shake our world. We may question why certain things happen or why prayers seem unanswered. But God, in His omnipotence and omniscience, is working ceaselessly, just like the winds that blow where they wish and the child growing mysteriously in the womb.
Our task is to trust in Him completely, knowing that He crafts each moment of our lives with divine purpose and wisdom. Just as we marvel at the intricate details of His physical creation, may we also find awe and humility in the intricacies of His plans for us.
