For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Luke 19:10 (NIV)

Today's verse beautifully explains Jesus' mission on earth. The Messiah didn't come just for the righteous, or for those already walking in God's path, but particularly for the ones who have strayed away, lost in life's complexities. In modern terms, we can see this as Jesus tirelessly searching for those hearts that have been blinded by the darkness of sin or despair, seeking to bring them home into his loving and forgiving arms.

This is a reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God's redeeming love. Regardless of what you've done or where you've been, Jesus is actively looking for you. He came to illuminate the world with His divine light so that you may find your way back to the Father.

Moreover, our reading today urges us to act in a similar manner. Just as Jesus seeks out the lost, we too, as followers of Christ, are called to reach out to those who are wandering, extending the good news of salvation to all corners of the earth.
