Kneeling in Humility
Apr 23, 2025
It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”
Romans 14:11 (NIV)
In the realm of our daily lives, it is easy to lose sight of the truth presented in today's verse: that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. It is a universal invitation, extended to all mankind, to acknowledge and accept the lordship of Christ.
We often get caught in the trappings of pride, power, wealth, and social status. We base our value on our achievements and measure worth in worldly standards. Yet we are reminded that these earthly accolades are fleeting. Eventually, all of us, irrespective of our stature or standing, will be united in a single act of humility and worship before our Creator.
This reminder invites us to shift our focus from accumulating worldly treasures to investing in our relationship with God. We're called to humble ourselves, recognizing that He is the ultimate authority, not just in moments of solitude or in the confines of a place of worship, but in every aspect of our life. By doing so, we align ourselves with God's will, manifesting His glory in everything we do.
