For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Romans 1:20 (NIV)

In our reading today, we are reminded of the power and divinity of God as reflected in his creation. Nature, which surrounds us every day, is a living testament to God’s eternal power and divine nature. These are not qualities that we can physically touch or see, yet they exist as clearly and undeniably as anything we can hold in our hands.

When we take a moment to observe the world around us—the vast skies, the intricate patterns of leaves, the effortless flight of birds—we are catching a glimpse of God's invisible qualities. These beautiful expressions of His power remind us not to get caught up in the tangible and transient, but to acknowledge and appreciate the spiritual and eternal.

However, understanding God’s eternal power and divine nature demands more than observation; it requires acknowledgment and gratitude. Our appreciation for His creation should extend into our relationship with Him. We should live every day in recognition of His great love for us, as demonstrated by the wondrous world He has given us.
