Reconciliation Through Christ's Life
Apr 8, 2025
For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
Romans 5:10 (NIV)
Today, our scripture reading takes us into the depths of God's redeeming love. It brings into focus the overwhelming truth that through Christ's death, we were reconciled to God even when we were enemies. This is a profound act of divine love, an extension of grace that breathes life into our spiritual dry bones.
However, the journey doesn't end with reconciliation. Once reconciled, we now experience the fullness of His life in us. Our Savior did not just die that we might be reconciled, He lives that we might know joy and peace. How wonderful it is to serve a God who didn't stop at saving us but went ahead to assure us of an eternal inheritance, a life without end.
We should pause daily to appreciate this life-giving gift, offered freely through Jesus Christ. He is not just the bridge that led us back to God, He is the lifeline that sustains us. Let's remember; our salvation wasn't merely about escaping the penalty of sin - it was about gaining the promise of abundant and everlasting life in Him.
