In today's reading, an angel delivers a powerful and affirming message. The angel tells Mary that she has found favor with God and will conceive a son who will be great and reign over the house of Jacob forever. This child is Jesus and His kingdom will have no end. For us, this message is a profound reminder of the eternal nature of Christ's kingdom and His sovereignty over all things.

Often, the uncertainties of life bring fear and worry. Yet, just as the angel reassured Mary, God wants to reassure us. In every challenge and crossroad, we can and should anchor our hope on the unchanging character of God and the everlasting kingdom of Jesus. Amidst a world that constantly changes and brings uncertainty, it is comforting to know that He is constant and His kingdom endures forever.

Today, let us remember not to fear because we are part of an eternal kingdom ruled by a King who is compassionate, just, and infinitely powerful. We have found favor with God not because of what we have done, but because of who we are in Christ.
